Daxx is looking for a Junior Scala Developer to join the Exabeam team in Kyiv.

Who we are looking for:
- You are full of energy and enthusiastic junior/middle developer or even post-graduate/intern, with basic/little experience in the industry, not necessarily exposed to our required tech stack.
- Have some Computer Science/data structures/algorithm knowledge, able to solve coding challenges, demonstrate problem-solving and learning skills.
- An outspoken person, proactive, team player.
- Know who is Martin Odersky, read his book and/or passed the Functional Programming Principles in Scala course on Coursera.
- Have a product mindset and ready to learn fast.
What opportunities we offer:
- You will join our team to participate in creation, ownership and development of mission-critical pieces of our large-scale data pipeline that processes hundreds of thousands of events per second.
- You will create features and maximize performance at multiple levels of the stack either as a feature team member or independently: Scala applications, orchestration, scripting, and bare metal.
- You will learn how to work on clusters that can ingest multiple terabytes per day, can scale to 100s of nodes.
- You will be involved in the end-to-end delivery of features and provide proper maintenance of the codebase.

Requirements:
- Good theoretical and practical level with at least one of the languages Scala, Java, Go or Python. Scala or willingness to learn Scala is highly preferable.
- Great to have experience with or good theoretical knowledge of at least one of the next technologies: Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Kafka, Zookeeper, Prometheus, Docker or their alternatives.
- Nice, but not mandatory to have knowledge about Linux, Bash, Ansible, Kubernetes.
- Understanding of high performance streaming pipelines and CI/CD principles.
- Understanding of PaaS/SaaS and microservice architecture.
- Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience in initiating product changes and improvements, as well as participating in hackathons or similar events will be a plus.
